Third Parties Rights in Family Law
York regularly act for third parties in the Family Court
Third Parties regularly feature in family law cases. These are parties that were not parties to the marriage. They range from parents or relatives who have lent monies to a spouse to “innocent” third parties who have no connection to the marriage such as the ATO seeking to recover tax debt or a financial institution wanting to secure its financial position.
Third parties issues are not in the most part issues under the Family Law Act. They are generally commercial or trust or contractual matters. At York Law we have the depth of experience to deal with these types of matters and we regularly act for third parties in the Family Court.
Our expertise in Family Law coupled with our understanding of commercial, trust and contractual matters allows us to represent third parties interests effectively and efficiently.
